‘Anyone wishing to understand how a tropical rainforest really works needs to get up into its canopy. But this is not easy. Trees in the rainforest can be enormous!

It’s going to be tough. It may even be a bit dangerous. But it will be the adventure of a lifetime.

Our epic mission to unlock the secrets of the biggest rainforest on earth starts here.’

Commissioned by Joanna McInerney, (Head of Big Picture Press), and beautifully illustrated by Becky and Louise at Good Wives and Warriors, this is the book I wish I’d had when I was a child.

I’ve been fortunate to climb into the rainforest canopy to film its secrets many times over the years. There’s nowhere else like it on earth and it has shown me just how diverse, beautiful and complex, yet fragile life on Earth truly is.

The way I see it, if I can inspire just one child to seek out and help protect such wonders for themselves when they’re older, then this to be a good thing.

UP IN THE CANOPY is my attempt to do just that!
